ROCKWELL MANUFACTURING COMPANY - A DELTACRAFT PULICATION

Window
Shelf

For Potted Plants
Photo #1
Holes are cut on the scroll saw with the No. 92 jeweler's blade running the machine at 1725 rpm. The holes may also be bored on the drill press with an adjustable hole cutter.

Photo #2
The scrolled trim design is cut on the band saw using a 1/4 inch skip tooth blade. These same cuts can be made on the scroll sow, if desired.

You can dress up either the inside or outside of your home with this easy-to-make window shelf and several colorful plants.
Make sure you make the shelf length in proper perspective to the window under which you plan to mount it.
If used on the outside, apply a coat of wood preservative before painting. For indoor use, you may want to add colorful decals for extra interest.
