Picture #1
A cutting block that will come in very handy in any kitchen. To prevent the top from warping glue two pieces of solid stock with a piece of plywood in between (see drawing). Turn the feet on the lathe with a ¾-inch dowel portion to fasten them to the top. Sand smooth but do not apply any finish on the cutting surface. Shellac and varnish the sides of the top and legs.

Picture #2
**** NOTE ****
Mineral Oil is the
ONLY truly acceptable finish to treat the cutting surface with.
