THE realistic toy plane shown in the photos above was copied from the U. S. Navy Corsair.

The body or fuselage is turned in the lathe as shown in photo 2. The cockpit cover is also turned on the lathe and then cut in two parts lengthwise. This part is then hollowed out to fit the contour of the body and glued in place. The wings are band sawed as shown in photo 3 and doweled to the body, The tail surfaces are sawed from a plywood and glued in slots cut in the body.

The spinning propeller is cut from celluloid or clear plastic and glued to the hub. Paint the toy blue, and decorate with model airplane decals.
