Click to download pdf file. THIS makes a neat holder for a ball of crochet cotton. The diagram at left is one-half full size, making it simple to pick off all essential dimensions. The glue-up job is done on a core of maple. Four of the eight sides can be done in one operation, then, when the glue has dried, the edges can be dressed flush and the other four sides added. Turn the inside of the lid first, mounting the work on the 3-inch faceplate. Next, turn the inside of the bottom. With a good tight fit at the joint, the box can then be assembled and the outside turned to shape,
