2022 – 2 weeks – 600 miles to Chattanoga, TN and Paducah, KY.

This trip had two main attractions:
The first leg was to attend the American Association of Woodturners Symposium in Chattanooga, TN.
The second leg was to visit the The National Quilt Museum and various quilt related stores and attractions in Paducah, KY.

We met up with friends on the way to TN and stayed at Hungry Mothers State Park campground near Marlington, VA – about an hour from Mt Airy, NC and famous as Mayberry RFD and Andy Griffith’s hometown.
This was our stay for the Woodturners Symposium.

Our second stay was at Canal COE in KY.
This was for our stay and the quilt museum in Paducah.
As always, we got a great spot right on the water and the rates are fantastic – especially if you have the National Parks SR pass.

One other stop was fantastic. Mammoth Cave in KY is a must see.
