ROCKWELL MANUFACTURING COMPANY - A DELTACRAFT PULICATION

A luggage rack is a handy piece of furniture for the guest room. Because of the light construction and top webbing it is easily folded and takes up very little space in the clothes closet when not in use.
The project should be made of light weight wood like pine, or basswood. All pieces are 1 1/8 inch thick by 1½ inches wide. Joints can be dowellecl or mortised and tenoned. Should you decide on the latter be sure to add two more inches to the length of the legs and center stretchers. Study the line drawing for laying out the dowel hole positions in the top stretcher and legs. Break all sharp corners on the circular saw with the 35-102 cutters mounted in the moulding cutter head.
Finish natural with shellac and varnish or paint in solid color. When thoroughly dry tack five pieces of webbing to the under side of the top stretchers (see drawing) with furniture tacks.
